For spring/summer 2024, designers continued to take a minimalist approach to everyday wear, with subtle design details and meticulous silhouettes used to add a luxe sheen to even the most practical items.

For example, Matches’ buying team says, “”Denim continues to be a key focus, with our total investment increasing 10 percent over last year.””

And, specifically, what trends are we talking about?

• Dark denim washes. Deep indigo washes always give denim a more polished and exclusive look, and several designers presented jeans and tailored garments in dark washes.
• Straight jeans from the 90’s. Like those worn at the time by Kate Moss, whose style we will see beyond 2024.
• “Shorts of all kinds. Like those presented by Prada or Miu-Miu for next spring.
• Large and baggy pants. Spacious. Comfortable, offering volume to the eye and style to the gait. Such as horseshoe jeans, for example.
